Each year, hundreds of volunteers give their time to the YMCA, as coaches, teachers, mentors, you name it.

In recognition of outstanding service, seven individuals received the YMCA Volunteer of the Year award Thursday at the Y's annual meeting. Without volunteers, many programs the YMCA offers would not be possible.

Dale Steinkuehler, YMCA Volunteer of the Year: "The YMCA has been a great experience for me and it's one of the few organizations that's able to go across all parts of the community, north, south, east and west."
