(Dallas-AP) -- Southwest Airlines plans to close three of its nine phone-reservations centers as more travelers make travel plans online.

Southwest plans to close call centers in Dallas, Salt Lake City and Little Rock, Arkansas, at the end of February.

The 1,900 employees will be allowed to relocate to one of the airline's remaining call centers. They're in Houston, San Antonio, Chicago, Phoenix, Oklahoma City and Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Southwest didn't say how many employees it expects to lose.

The Dallas-based airline currently sells more than half its tickets on its Web site.

The company has ended a double-credit promotion for buying tickets online -- a promotion that began when the Web site was still in its infancy.
