What began as an experiment selling books on-line nearly 6 years later has blossomed into a major e-tailer of all sorts of merchandise. In a time of financial struggle for many corporations, Amazon.com is reportedly projecting fourth quarter sales of nearly a billion dollars. Kansas Facility General Manager Bert Wegner: “our customers are recognizing that we have a tremendous selection, we're opening new stores."

Although company officials would not disclose how many orders they routinely fill at the Coffeyville, Kansas facility, clearly business is booming and Amazon needs more help. "It's wonderful to be in the position to be hiring right now, especially in this difficult economy."

Wegner says the Kansas location, one of 5 warehouses in the US, is looking for hundreds of people to fill holiday positions.

Hiring is starting now and the work will continue through Christmas Day.
