Oklahomans flock to Kansas for Powerball lottery drawing

Another big powerball jackpot is up for grabs later Wednesday night. And that has plenty of Oklahomans headed out of state for tickets.
Tonight's drawing is estimated at $162-million. At this store in Caney, Kansas 70% of their lottery customers are from the Sooner state. Eldron Woodfin and Shelly Wheeler travel each week from Tulsa to Kansas to buy tickets.
Tulsa resident Eldron Woodfin, â€œWe get a kick out of it. We don't ever win that much, we have fun and then you hope you win the big one." Reporter: "$162 million that's a big one?" Woodrin: "that would be nice. ha ha ha."
Tulsa resident Shelly Wheeler: "Big money. Big money. Wanting to win big money."
Oklahomans will get a chance to vote on a statewide lottery for education in November of 2004.
