(Norman-AP) -- Lease holders of exclusive suites at the University of Oklahoma stadium will now have to buy their own alcohol and stock the suites themselves.

Previously, the athletic department would take liquor orders from some lease holders. The orders were faxed to Hob Nob Rob's Retail Liquor Store, which would deliver the alcohol.

Associated Athletic Director Kirby Hocutt says a review of alcohol procedures in the stadium led to the change.

Alcohol became an issue at the start of the season, when the new Kerr-McGee Club opened. The club was accessible only to generous donors, who were served beer and alcohol.

It rained on the first game day, and people stayed inside and drank.

President David Boren and regents later stopped the club from serving alcohol during football games.
