(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A Del City man faces two death sentences for the February 2002 murders of two people in Oklahoma City.

Michael Dewayne Smith is to be put to death for killing Janet Moore and Sarath Pulluru in separate shootings on the same day.

Smith told police he went to Moore's southwest Oklahoma City apartment looking for her son. He said he shot Moore because she wouldn't sit down and be quiet.

Pulluru was killed the same day at the convenience store where he worked. Police say Smith intended to kill another clerk who made statements in support of a man who shot and killed one of Smith's fellow gang members during a robbery.
