(Stillwater-AP) -- Officials say no faculty will lose their jobs as Oklahoma State University's agricultural division plans a reorganization.

The proposal calls for eliminating the entomology and plant pathology department, while the forestry department and possibly others would be merged into a new natural resources department.

Assistant Director for Cooperative Extension Services Ross Love says none of the programs is being dissolved, but officials are proposing to change and reduce administrative overhead.

Love says the division is trying to recoup a 5-point-4 (M) million-dollar budget cutback over the past two years. He says all carry-over and reserve funds have been spent.

Officials would not say how many positions would be cut because administrators might end up being transferred into other unfilled jobs.
