(Tulsa-AP) -- A Colorado company says it's been selected to take over Tulsa's trash-to-energy plant, but city officials haven't said they'll resume sending trash there.
Cheryl Cohenour of the Tulsa Authority for the Recovery of Energy says the city doesn't believe its agreement to send trash to the plant still exists.
Fort Collins, Colorado-based Barlow Projects says it was selected by the plant's owner to take over operations from Covanta Tulsa.
Covanta shut down its operations last week, saying it could not reach a new lease agreement with the plant owner.
The city is now sending its trash to a landfill and Cohenour says a new agreement must be reached before the trash is again sent to the plant.
