(Undated-AP) -- A 23-year-old man was killed Saturday morning when his pickup truck ran off a Cherokee County highway and overturned.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Anthony R. Carlton of Vian was pronounced dead at the scene of the 2 AM crash south of Cookson. Troopers say he sustained internal injuries as well as injuries to his head.

The one-vehicle crash occurred on Oklahoma 82. Troopers say Carlton's pickup was southbound when it missed a curve, ran off the road and struck a concrete culvert, overturning twice.

Carlton was ejected from the vehicle. Troopers say he wasn't wearing a seat belt.
