(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The founder and administrator of an Oklahoma City alternative school has been arrested on drug complaints.

Theotis Leon Payne Senior of Dunjee Academy was arrested on complaints of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and defrauding an innkeeper.

The academy has about 30 students in grades six through 12. Typically, students who attend Dunjee Academy have had academic, behavior or truancy problems.

A police report says 49-year-old Payne was arrested Monday at Hawthorn Suites hotel in Oklahoma City when he tried to leave without paying his bill of $640.

Police say they discovered drug paraphernalia and cocaine in his room.

Oklahoma City school officials say the arrest may affect future dealings with Payne.
