(Undated-AP) -- College football is taking a week off in Oklahoma.
It's a bye week for top-ranked Oklahoma, which starts its Big 12 slate October 4th with a trip to Iowa State.
Tulsa has an open date this week. The Golden Hurricane resumes the season with an October 4th home game against Hawaii.
Oklahoma State is also idle this week and doesn't play again until October 4th, when the Cowboys take on winless Louisiana-Lafayette.
OSU coach Les Miles says he'll use this week to evaluate some of the players, tinker with the team's playbook and do lots of film study.
Miles he'd rather be preparing for a game this week.
