The US war against bin Laden's terror network began in the mountains of Afghanistan, where several Oklahomans are headed.
Friends and family of the 45th Infantry gathered at the Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City Sunday for a farewell ceremony. The Army unit will train the new Afghan army.
It's the first time since the Korean War more than 50 years ago, that the 45th has been deployed to a combat zone.
