(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The University of Oklahoma is reporting record enrollment and the highest average ACT score ever by an incoming freshman class.

OU President David Boren says the school has more than 31,400 students on campuses in Norman, Oklahoma City and Tulsa. About 24,500 of the students are on the Norman campus.

Boren says the average ACT score of incoming freshmen is 25.8, setting a school record and nearly 2 points higher than any other university in the state.
