The Tulsa Zoo is celebrating a big anniversary this month. The zoo has been around for 75 years.
To mark the milestone, a group of preschoolers joined the folks at the zoo to bury a time capsule in the park Tuesday. The kids from Channing's Day School helped pick out the items to include in the capsule.
Lauren Brookly with Tulsa Zoo Friends, "we had a lot of fun putting together that time capsule. It includes a letter from our zoo staff. It includes information on Penguins on Parade. We also got buttons, letters from the preschoolers who joined us today that show their favorite decorations of penguins and it also has their pictures on the letters.â€
The capsule will be dug up on the Zoo’s 100th anniversary in 2028.
