The construction of a brand new hospital in Drumright has even more people celebrating.

Officials broke ground on the eight million dollar building Thursday. The old hospital closed nearly three years ago. Trustees say the new building's design is more cost-efficient and closer for patients who need emergency care.

The new hospital will be paid for with a voter-approved bond issue and a federal loan.
