Crews broke ground Wednesday morning on a riverwalk that will connect the Oklahoma Aquarium with the Riverside trail system.
The $25-million project is expected to be completed by early next fall. It will be a 90,000 square foot development. Developers say what makes this site unique is that all the stores will front the river and a boardwalk. The parking will be hidden in the back.
Their hope is that this will be more than just a place to eat and shop. They want to become a destination point, such as Tulsa’s Brookside and Cherry Street.
