A federal lawsuit between residents of the nation's top superfund site and two mining companies is still ongoing.

Tuesday, the judge in the case toured the Tar Creek area in Ottawa County. Court documents indicate Asarco and Doe Run Companies have settled a suit with the seven families who say their children have health effects resulting from exposure to lead in the superfund site.

The families continue to pursue their cases against two remaining mining companies.
