(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Some Oklahoma City convenience store owners have been convicted of illegally selling one of the main ingredients in methamphetamine.
A federal court jury returned guilty verdicts Wednesday against Sonny Tran, Nga Tran and Huong Muessic.
Prosecutors say they sold pseudoephedrine, an ingredient in cold and allergy medications, knowing it would be used to make methamphetamine.
Defense attorneys say their clients didn't know the pseudoephedrine would be used to make an illegal drug.
But prosecutors showed video footage taken by an undercover law enforcement agent. The tape showed Muessic agreeing to sell multiple cases of pseudoephedrine tablets.
Prosecutors said several thousand tablets were sold at each store.
