(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A Watonga school superintendent was one of eight people killed on Oklahoma roads this weekend.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Watonga Public Schools superintendent Michael David May was killed in Blaine County Saturday.
54-year-old May was remembered by his colleagues for commitment to education and his community.
May was killed about 12:20 pm Saturday eight miles north of Watonga.
He was returning home from a morning church service, driving south on State Highway 8, when a northbound car driven by 19-year-old Victor A. Flores Duenas, of Enid, lost control and hit May's car.
May died at the scene. His wife was flown to OU Medical Center. Duenas was treated and released.
