(Oklahoma City-AP) -- State Insurance Commissioner Carroll Fisher says he doesn't blame a teenager who telephoned police about Fisher's erratic driving.

The call led to Fisher's arrest early Sunday on a driving under the influence complaint.

Fisher's comments come after state Republican Party Chairman Gary Jones accused Fisher of blaming the 17-year-old boy of setting him up.

A police report says the teenager, identified as Paul Dymond, called 9-1-1 to report a car swerving all over the roadway for several miles.

Fisher says the boy did what he thought was right.

Fisher also rejected Jones' demand that he resign as insurance commissioner, calling it a silly Republican comment.
