(Stillwater-AP) -- Oklahoma State's Athletic Center has won a national design award.

The home of Gallagher-Iba Arena was honored for innovative architecture and design by Recreation Management magazine.

Judges say the center maintains the old building but provides a new image.

O-S-U expanded the basketball facility to serve other athletics and linked it to the adjacent football field.

The result is one huge sports complex that is twice as big and holds twice as many people.
