OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A ConocoPhillips employee died Thursday from injuries sustained in a refinery fire.

Tim Crank, 39, of Ponca City, died at about 4 AM in the intensive care unit at the burn center of Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, spokesman Damon Gardenhire said.

Crank was one of six workers injured in the July 21 blast at the ConocoPhillips refinery in Ponca City. The other workers were treated and released.

ConocoPhillips is still investigating the cause of the explosion, which occurred during routine maintenance.

About 1,700 employees work at the plant.

The refinery, one of 12 owned by Houston-based ConocoPhillips, can process up to 194,000 barrels of oil per day producing gasoline, diesel, propane and petroleum coke.
