(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Oklahoma City bombing conspirator Terry Nichols will continue to have his pretrial hearings at the Oklahoma County jail.
The decision was made by Noma Gurich, Oklahoma County's presiding administrative judge.
Nichols pretrial hearings have been held in a courtroom in the jail basement because of concerns about his safety.
Nichols wanted to change to a regular courtroom.
His attorneys say holding the hearings in the jail portray him to the public as a dangerous person.
Prosecutor Sandra Elliot argued Nichols had no proof to support his claim that the location gave him a negative public perception.
The decision was only for the site of pretrial hearings.
Nichols' trial cannot be held in the jail because there is no space for jurors.
