Thursday was the last swim class for two dozen beginning swimmers at Tulsa's Ben Hill pool.
Their instructor, Dianne Holmes-Jones has taught thousands of Tulsa kids to be safe and have fun in the water. And she does it all for free. She teaches all five levels of classes. "Maybe they can't swim in the deep but they have come a long way. They can swim on their backs a little bit with some support. Some can swim on their own."
Dianne’s taught swimming for most of her life, she says, for the last fifteen years as part of the Red Cross Learn to Swim program.
That program is over for this year but the Red Cross offers a limited number of year-round swim classes.
