PICHER, Okla. (AP) _ Videotape of Oklahoma law enforcement officers raiding a methamphetamine lab will air as a 30-second public service announcement in Joplin, Mo., officials said.
The tape is from a Tuesday raid at an abandoned house in Picher.
Officers found a young girl during the raid and took her into protective custody.
The spot will show officers in protective gear disposing of chemicals used to produce methamphetamine.
Seven Miami police officers, members of the 13th Judicial District Drug Task Force and Picher Police Chief Bob Jones will appear in the spot.
Law enforcement agencies in Ottawa County seized 40 methamphetamine labs last year, a 25% increase from 2002.
