The investigation continues into a fish kill on the South Canadian River, southwest of Oklahoma City.

State investigators say waste from a nearby Braum's Dairy Farm suffocated the fish. A waste system pipe broke and spewed a water-manure mixture into the river. Officers say ammonia in the waste cut off the oxygen to the fish, causing concern for residents.

Brian Phillips, who found the dead fish, "we come down here and I seen these fish was floating on the side of the river and I got to looking and there was more fish up and down the river and water was awfully, awfully black.”

The State Department of Agriculture is investigating and will decide if Braum's should be fined.
