The battle over tattoos is heating up in Oklahoma. "The Cave" at 9th and Sheridan in Tulsa is hosted "Tattoo Oklahoma" Sunday evening.
It's the first of several events that are being held in Tulsa this month, in an effort to legalize tattooing in Oklahoma. Several bands performed Sunday evening to raise money for the law firm that is representing the cause.
Tattoo supporters say everyone would benefit if Oklahoma legalized tattooing. Tattoo artist, Shawn Morrow, "people are going to get tattoos anyway, they're going to go out of state and get them in safer environments and that's tax dollars Oklahoma is losing and they could keep it here but that's what we're trying to focus on right here, change that."
"The Cave" is hosting another fundraiser next Saturday, the 26th.
