A new playground and splash pad are open in north Tulsa. Friday, the Jim Pielsticker Playground officially opened at Mohawk Park.

It features a climbing wall, a gazebo, along with a colorful splash facility. The park was funded in part by the city, and by late Tulsa philanthropist Jim Pielsticker.

A formal dedication ceremony will be held later this summer.
