(Oklahoma City-AP) -- An Oklahoma death row inmate scheduled to die next week by injection has asked the US Supreme Court to halt his execution.
Bryan Anthony Toles is scheduled to be executed for the 1993 murder of a man and his 15-year-old son in their Lawton home.
Toles wants the Supreme Court to review a decision by the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals on May 21st that upheld his death sentence.
He says the jury did not determine by a reasonable doubt that the case had all of the elements required for a death sentence.
Charlie Price, spokesman for Attorney General Drew Edmondson's office says the victims were shot after Toles forced himself into their home to get the keys to the family car.
