A high-speed chase ends with a burglary suspect in custody early Wednesday. It began when an officer spotted a suspicious vehicle at 25th and Sheridan.
The driver took off and the chase reached speeds in excess of 100-miles per hour. Officers broke off the chase, but resumed it when the man ran several red lights. The chase wound up on North Garnett and ended when the suspect missed a curve and wrecked the Chevy Suburban.
Officers believe the suspects arrest could put an end to a burglary ring. Tulsa Police Sgt John McDowell, “there's been a rash of burglaries in the area of 25th and Sheridan over to 25th and Harvard, we've been patrolling that area quite heavily.â€
As it turns out, the Suburban was stolen out of Broken Arrow. Police are still investigating.
