(Shawnee-AP) -- Three Oklahomans took the lead in their events in the first round of competition at the International Finals Youth Rodeo in Shawnee.

Rashell Hays of Bristow finished first in pole bending, Tyler Mayse of Ponca City was in the lead in calf roping and T-J Pitmon of Mill Creek took the lead in bull riding.

Toby Bean of Bethel came in second in bull riding and Derrail Roland of Shady Point came in fourth in the saddle bronc competition.

The rodeo runs through Saturday.
