The Tulsa Area United Way got an early Fourth of July present Tuesday. The Bank of America presented a $70,000 grant to the United Way Tuesday afternoon.
The grant will go to help fund part of the Success By 6 initiative, which addresses the broader environmental and systemic issues that influence children's development. Linda Jenkins with the Tulsa Area United Way, "We know it's critical quality care for our children 0-6 and our Success by 6 initiative has let us help over 2,000 children in our community get a good start in life."
Other cities receiving United Way grants from the Bank of America were Bartlesville, Oklahoma City, Stillwater and Lawton.
