An 8-month-old child is safe after someone stole the car he was in. The suspect remains at large.

Police in Stillwater issued an Amber Alert. It was canceled within an hour when the child was found in the stolen car. Police say a woman went into a convenience store and left the car running.

When she came out, she saw someone taking off in her vehicle. Stillwater Police Captain Randy Dickerson, "It would appear he didn't know the baby was in there at the time, I certainly can't speculate on what he did or didn't know."

Person who found the infant, Kathy Baker, "We're just glad that we got him because he wasn't crying so I don't know if anyone would've heard him."

The infant was found unharmed. Authorities believe the suspect dumped the car at a trailer park after realizing the baby was inside. Now here's a look at the suspect. Police say he's about six feet tall and weighs about 175-200 pounds.

If you have any information about this man, call the Stillwater Police Department. The number is 405-372-4171.
