A group of US Marines at Fort Sill near Lawton made history Thursday with a rocket launch.

It's the first time ever that this type of weapon has been used by the Marines. Everything went well but they say it was much more dramatic than they had imagined it would be.

The launcher won't be used in combat for at least two years.
