After beginning deliberations last week, the Creek County District Court trial of Kurt Vomberg has ended in a hung jury.

Vomberg is accused of shaking his girlfriend's 21-month-old daughter to death. Prosecutors say Skyla Brooks was shaken so violently that her brain stem snapped.

The child's mother, Tammie Brooks, is already serving 20 years in prison for child neglect.
