Sentencing for former state senator Gene Stipe has been delayed. That's because Stipe missed an appointment with a federal probation officer.
Stipe pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy and perjury in April. He admitted he funneled $245,000 in illegal contributions into Walt Roberts' congressional campaign. He also lied to federal investigators.
Stipe was supposed to be sentenced June 18th. That's been pushed back to July 8th.
