MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) -- An attorney accused of grabbing two women has been arrested on sexual battery charges.

David M. Garrett was arrested at his law office Friday by the Muskogee County undersheriff, then released from custody after paying two $1,000 bonds.

Jennifer Littlefield, 21, says Garrett grabbed her breasts and buttocks April 23 at Mulligans Sports Bar & Grill.

Tonya Cuny, 32, says Garrett grabbed her breasts May 23 outside Jasper's Restaurant. She says he seemed intoxicated.

Both women filed complaints with authorities.

Garrett was accused of sexual misconduct in a lawsuit filed in 1995 by a paralegal supervisor who worked in his office. Donna Lynn Jones alleged Garrett maliciously committed sexual assault and battery and other sexual acts, including rape by instrumentation, sodomy by instrumentation and oral sodomy.

She said he lured her into his car after working late and drove to some abandoned property.

"There was no getting away," she said. "It was awful and sick and scary. All I knew was I had to get out of there and get home."

Garrett said in court records that all action was consensual.

They settled out of court.

"I'm just sick and saddened somebody else had to go through that," Jones said after hearing about the recent allegations.

Garrett did not comment.

Muskogee County District Attorney John David Luton requested the attorney general appoint a special prosecutor to review the case against Garrett, who donated $200 to Luton's campaign in 1998.

Luton filed charges Monday after the attorney general's office said the campaign contribution did not disqualify Luton's office from the case.
