(Holdenville-AP) -- The Holdenville police chief says he has no idea why the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is investigating him for possible sexual discrimination.
Police Chief Jerry Young says he received a letter in May telling him he's under investigation, but doesn't know what the claim is about or who filed it.
EEOC officials say they can't discuss a pending investigation.
Holdenville Mayor Jack Barrett says he's aware of a claim filed by a female police dispatcher. Barrett says he thinks the problem is due to the department adjusting to a new chief.
Young was elected chief this year and took office April 14th.
