Some area lawmakers are concerned about special expense accounts held by Tulsa Community College employees.
Senator Charles Ford of Tulsa says he understands expense accounts are needed for administrators to conduct school business, but says they should be reviewed given the state's sluggish economy.
The accounts increase the base salaries of TCC's top administrators by thousands of dollars a year.
Ford says all appropriated funds spent should be analyzed, adding that if faculty and staff are cutting back, administration should also be looked at.
TCC regents say they'll review compensation for all employees, including the accounts, in the next few months.
The regents issued a statement saying they understand the heightened attention to executive compensation, but says the system has worked well over the years.
