Sonic Drive-In is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The booming company has had restuarants in the Tulsa area since the early 70’s. To mark the occasion, the Sonic at 19th and Memorial invited former carhops back for the celebration.
The restaurant is also giving away several prizes, including a bicycle and even a new car to thank their customers.
The first Sonic Drive-In opened in Shawnee and is still in business 50 years later. Today there are more than 2,600 Sonic Drive-ins in 30 states.
