Kids in North Tulsa have another pool to splash in this summer.

The City and the Hutcherson YMCA are teaming up again this year to keep the Ben Hill swimming pool open.

Now five of the 22 city pools will be open.

Ed Lacy, North Tulsan, Hutcherson YMCA Board Member: "It's gonna be hot this summer, and this is going to be a lesson for these youngsters and they'll have something to do. They won't have to be running around and maybe getting in trouble."

Many Tulsa citizens have generously pooled their efforts to keep the facility afloat. However, a future flow of funding is needed to keep Ben Hillâ€™s head above water.

The Hutcherson YMCA is still accepting donations, please phone them at (918) 382-9622 and find out how you can help. Some contributions of note include $5,000 from The Zarrow Foundation, $4,000 from the OneOK Foundation and $3,000 from an anonymous donor.
