Congressman Brad Carson is pressing the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to investigate a federal report on the Tar Creek Superfund site.

Carson has demanded that the Office of the Inspector General of the EPA find out why an August 2002 scientific report was changed without the knowledge of the scientists who toured the Ottawa County site.

The final report, dated April of this year, de-emphasizes the team's recommendation that residents of Picher and Cardin must be relocated before remediation can begin.
