Nowata County Deputies are still searching for a prison inmate this morning. He walked away from a work detail on Wednesday.

Ernest Harden apparently got into a county-owned pickup truck and drove off.

Harden is originally from Tryon in northern Lincoln County. Investigators believe he may be headed there.

Harden was in jail for writing bogus checks and stealing property.
