There's good news and bad news in Tulsa's crime figures.
An early copy of the annual report on crimes shows violent crime is down, and property crimes are up.
The Homicide, rape, and assault numbers are down this year, but pocket picking, shoplifting, theft from cars, and burlgary all increased.
Perhaps the most startling increase was in meth lab numbers. Tulsa had 178 labs last year, up from 124 the year before.
And the meth lab problem isn’t getting better. 100 labs have already been busted the first three months of 2003.
