New OU associate athletics director named

(Norman-AP) -- The associate athletics director at the University of Texas El-Paso will take over as the associate athletic director at OU.

Stephanie Rempe will start her new job July 1st.

Rempe will succeed Marita Hynes who retired earlier this spring.

Rempe oversaw women's basketball, women's golf, softball and women's tennis, football internal operations and other programs at UTEP.

She says OU's sports tradition drew her to the job.

Rempe has a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in sports administration from Arizona

She was a 4-year letter winner on the volleyball team.
