(Oklahoma City-AP) -- State House and Senate leaders say lawmakers will return after Memorial Day instead of adjourning on Friday as had been hoped.
Senate President Pro Tem Cal Hobson and House Speaker Larry Adair said Tuesday the Legislature will not adjourn until sometime after next Tuesday.
Lawmakers will meet on Friday, then take Saturday, Sunday and Memorial Day off before returning to Oklahoma City on Tuesday.
The Legislature is required to adjourn by 5 PM on Friday, May 30.
