(Camp Lejeune, North Carolina-AP) -- Marine reservists, including a unit from Oklahoma, are being assigned to Japan for six months.

About 1,000 troops from First Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment based at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, were mobilized for the Iraq conflict but are going to Okinawa instead.

They'll take on duty for other troops returning from Iraq so they can spend time with their families.

The troops include units from Broken Arrow as well as from Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Connecticut.
