Don’t' be surprised if you get a case of sticker shock next time you fill your gas tank. The going rate for regular unleaded is about a $1.45 a gallon. And of course you'll pay even more for premium grade.
Less than a week ago, Tulsa bragged the lowest gas prices in the country at around a $1.25. What's unusual is the leap in price is unique to Oklahoma and Kansas.
We spoke with AAA of Oklahoma. They said the leap in price isn't due to tornadoes, crude oil prices, or the upcoming Memorial Day weekend. They said they just couldn’t explain it.
