(Undated-AP) -- The Oklahoma softball team is heading east, Oklahoma State west for the NCAA regional softball tournaments.

The Sooners are the top seed in Region Four in Gainesville, Florida, and the Cowgirls are the second seed in Region Six in Fullerton, California.

The regionals begin Thursday with OU playing Bethune-Cookman starting at 10:30. OSU plays open against Boston University at 3:30.

Each of the eight regions have eight teams playing double-elimination with the winners advancing to the Women's College World Series May 22nd through 26th in Oklahoma City.
