An attempted smash and grab of a Tulsa jewelry store left a storeowner shaken. The News on 6 was the only station there to take the pictures.

It happened around 4:30 Friday morning at a pawnshop and jewelry store near 23rd and Sheridan. Tulsa Police say the suspects tried to drive their car right through the front door. But, they didn't know the owner was asleep inside. Tulsa Police Sgt Daniel Ford, “repelled the invaders and exchanged gunfire with them. The bad guys retreated in the car and left south bound on Sheridan.”

Police still haven't found the suspects, and they don't believe anyone was hurt.

If you have any information on the suspects, you are asked to call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS. You can remain anonymous.
